“I was on the bench talking to God.
When I looked to the side, I saw they were calling me.
I continued talking to God because I didn’t think I would be coming on so early.
I came on and was able to do what I love most: play football. That’s where I want to be, on the pitch, helping my team.
The most important thing is to help Real Madrid win. Real Madrid must win, and that’s what I’ll dedicate my entire time in Madrid to doing.
And the day I can no longer do that, I’ll be the first to leave.
Because playing for Real Madrid is difficult. You have to fight every single day, and that’s what I’ll do throughout my career.”
