“If you introduce unjust rules, don’t be surprised when people behave unjustly.
“Why isn’t there real rage about Chelsea? Chelsea were allowed into the room. They were allowed to do what Man City were never allowed to do.
“Chelsea got into the room, spent what they wanted and started the arms race. Then Man City came along and everyone said, ‘No, you can’t come in. We’re shutting the door now.’
“Yet Chelsea were already in that room, and five or six years later, they were still cheating.
“So Chelsea are actually bigger offenders and worse offenders than Man City, because City were never allowed into the room. They had to cheat to get in.
“When you think about it in those terms, start directing some of that anger towards Chelsea as well.”
